David Evans
Consultant Hand Surgeon
David Evans is a specialist Hand Surgeon who is globally
recognised as one of the world's leading hand surgeons. He performs
all types of hand surgery and has a special interest in Dupuytrens
contracture, Peripheral nerve surgery including compression (carpal
tunnel and ulnar nerve), congenital hand malformations, surgery of
tendons, the wrist and tumours of the hand. He trained in Plastic
and Hand Surgery in Oxford and Louisville, Kentucky. He was
previously a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Wexham Park Hospital,
Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster
Hospital. He later started up his private practice in 1989 by
opening The Hand Clinic which he sold to Circle in 2008. David
continues private practice at the clinic and plays an active role
as chairman of the clinic.

Julie Yanni
Head of Clinics
Julie Yanni is a registered nurse who joined Circle in August
2008 as the Project Lead for Circle Clinic Whitstable. She was
appointed General Manager of Circle Clinic Windsor in July 2009 and
Head of Clinics in June 2011.
Julie trained at Guy's Hospital, London and worked for more than
20 years on the front line of patient care, mostly as a senior
nurse in the intensive care environment. She is passionate about
patients' experiences in health care settings and the quality of
care delivered by teams of healthcare professionals. She accepted a
scholarship from the University of Kent to undertake a research
study looking at the impact of internationally recruited nurses on
the critical care environment. While working on the study, she
lectured at Christ church University, Canterbury and continued to
work in clinical practice. She was awarded a doctorate in 2008.

David Martin
Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
David is a senior Plastic Surgeon who now dedicates himself to
the field of Cosmetic Surgery. He trained in Medicine at Edinburgh
University and subsequently received his FRCS from Edinburgh. Hand
Surgery Fellowship with Harold Kleinert at Louisville Hand Surgery,
Kentucky. His first Consultant appointment was at Queen Mary's,
Roehampton where he set up the first Emergency Day Case Hand Trauma
Unit. When that unit was closed he moved to The Chelsea and
Westminster Hospital where he set up the Plastic and Hand Unit. He
continues to work in the NHS mainly doing Paediatric Plastic
Surgery and Paediatric Hand Surgery.

Donald Sammut
Consultant Hand Surgeon
Donald qualified from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School,
University of London in 1980. He trained in General Surgery and
Plastic Surgery and is accredited in Plastic Surgery. Following
fellowships in Aesthetic and Craniofacial Surgery (Paris) and Hand
Surgery (London, Strasbourg and Barcelona), he has specialized
virtually exclusively in all aspects of Hand Surgery, particularly
hand reconstruction following trauma. He has a particular interest
in Congenital Hand Surgery, in Nerve Microsurgery and in the
reconstruction for hand paralyses. Donald set up the Hand Unit at
Frenchay Hospital, Bristol and the Congenital Hand Unit at the
Bristol Children's Hospital and ran these services between 1993 and
2003.
He is extensively involved in the Organisation, Education and
Training of Hand Surgery in Britain and the rest of Europe and is
examiner in the final examinations in Hand Surgery for both the
British and European Diploma. He leads a bi-annual surgical
programme in a leprosy hospital, latterly in India and now in Nepal
mostly involving re-animation of paralysed hands. He is a teacher
and accredited illustrator of Anatomy and Surgery
