Roddy Nash
Clinical & Executive Board Chairman
Roddy joined the Treatment Centre as the Clinical Chairman. He
has worked in the NHS for 37 years, 25 as a consultant surgeon with
his clinical expertise in General and Vascular Surgery. He took a
major role developing undergraduate education within his previous
Trust and he also held senior management positions as Medical
Director and Chief Executive. Roddy's role within the Treatment
Centre is to drive the development of Clinical Leadership and Teams
and he Chairs the Operations Board and the Clinical Governance and
Risk Management Committee.

Rachael Magnani
General Manager
As General Manager, Rachael is responsible for the overall
performance of the Treatment Centre and delivery of its strategic
objectives including compliance with all regulations, targets and
standards. Rachael has 20 years operational experience having
started her career as a Radiographer. She has spent the last 12
years in NHS management working at a Director level in both Primary
Care and the Acute Trust sector. Before joining Circle, Rachael
worked at Nottingham University Hospital as Director of Strategy
leading the merger and integration of the two Nottingham Hospitals
and the reconfiguration of some clinical services.

Lynn Andrews
Lead Nurse
Lynn qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1981 at The Royal
Infirmary, Edinburgh, Scotland. She worked in general surgery
and urology before moving south to England and a career in adult
critical care. Following a period working as a critical care
advisor in private industry Lynn returned to the National Health
Service and was instrumental in developing new ways of working in
Cardiothoracic Care through advancing nursing skills and practice.
Lynn has held a number of senior nursing and management roles in
acute NHS Trusts across the Midlands supporting developments in
professional practice together with attainment of a MSc in Health
Policy. This experience led to more strategic Assistant and
Deputy Director of nursing roles within both acute trusts and
latterly at the Strategic Health Authority. Her role at
Circle ensures quality care through improved patient experience and
professional leadership for nursing and allied health
professionals.

Nicholas Armitage
Clinical Lead Digestive Diseases
Nicholas graduated from St. Bartholomew's hospital in 1975 and
after training , much of which was in Nottingham, was appointed to
the Staff in Nottingham in 1989. From then he has developed
his own skills and a Colorectal Unit with a National reputation at
Nottingham University Hospitals. He has been involved with the
Treatment Centre from the beginning, including input into planning.
Since the Treatment Centre opened in 2008 he has been Clinical Lead
for Digestive Diseases. This department has developed an
excellent team and includes a number of specialist services e.g.
Hernia, Functional bowel Disease. Nicholas is committed to
involving all the members of the team in improving patient
experience and becoming a " Beacon of Excellence" for Digestive
Diseases.

Bruce Braithwaite
Clinical Lead Cardiology, Vascular & Respiratory
Bruce has worked in the NHS for over 20 years. He has been
a Consultant Surgeon since 2000 and has been a member of the
Executive Board from the day the Nottingham Treatment Centre
opened. He is the Caldicott Guardian for the Hospital and
Chairs the Clinical Governance and Risk Management Committee.
He is also the Clinical Lead for Cardiology, Respiratory and
Vascular Services where he helps to develop the skills of staff in
order to help them provide a great service to patients.

Rachel Clarke
Administration Lead
Rachel has 19 years experience in the NHS starting on a Youth
Training Scheme and gaining knowledge on many NHS systems
throughout the years. Rachel has worked in Primary Care and
Secondary Care sectors of the NHS and held management roles
throughout, most recently Rachel's role has been the implementation
of the National Choose and Book system for one of the local
county's PCT which also involved secondary care providers. Rachel's
current role ensures that the whole Patients Pathway Administration
functions at the Treatment centre are efficient for all the
specialties provided. This includes the management of the
Administration staff.

Lyn Gregory
HR Lead
Lyn is responsible for providing business focused HR solutions
to the management team of the Treatment Centre. Lyn has over
fifteen years HR related experience, previously working as
Personnel Manager at Rushcliffe PCT and Nottingham Community
Health. Prior to that she worked in HR in the engineering and
education sectors, as Training Manager at Midland Software Ltd. and
in customer services at IBM (UK) Ltd. She is a graduate from
Nottingham University and a Member of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Mark Lacey
Deputy General Manager
Mark worked in retail banking for 15 years, rising to Branch
Manager, before leveraging his interests in productivity,
performance, and process measurement into operational project
management in a number of roles within the commercial sector and
the NHS. Prior to joining Nations he held the Board-level position
of Chief Operating Officer at a commercially funded healthcare
organisation, where he led commissioning of an acute hospital and a
number of independent clinics across the UK, along with the
successful acquisition of a leading market competitor.

Sheelagh Littlewood
Clinical Lead Dermatology
Sheelagh was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist in 1987 and
has worked at the Queens Medical Centre since 2002, having
previously worked in a District General Hospital. Her
practice is medical dermatology with a specialist interest in
genital disease. Dermatology was the first speciality to
transfer to the Treatment Centre in July 2008 and she has been Head
of Service for Dermatology and Clinical Lead at the Treatment
Centre since January 2009.

Simon Page
Clinical Lead Endocrinology
Simon joined the Treatment Centre team as the Endocrinology
Clinical Lead in the summer of 2010 following the migration of all
adult endocrinology services from Nottingham University
Hospitals. He has worked in the NHS since graduating from
Bristol University in 1982 and has been a Consultant Physician and
Endocrinologist in Nottingham since February 1995. In the
early years of his Consultant post Simon was heavily involved in
the Nottingham Undergraduate curriculum and contributed to the
evolution of the medical and surgical teaching attachments in years
3 and 5 of the medical school training programme. He then was
appointed to Clinical Director in Medicine and Acute Medicine at
NUH for a 4 year period during which he helped to manage the impact
of the merger of the two hospitals in Nottingham on acute medical
services in the Trust. In his role as Clinical Lead for
Endocrinology Simon works closely with his excellent Gateway E
administration and management team and with consultant colleagues
who collectively deliver a high quality patient experience.

Nicola Parry
Senior Operations Manager
As Senior Operations Manager, Nicola is responsible for
supporting the Clinical Unit Leadership teams in Day Case,
Digestive Diseases and Endoscopy to deliver exceptional patient
care, performance and compliance. She has 18 years operational
experience working with both NHS and private patients. Nicola has a
wealth of experience in delivering efficient clinical and
non-clinical processes, service improvement modelling and
facilitation and embedding process redesign.

Martin Powell
Clinical Lead Gynaecology
Martin was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist in 1993 at
University Hospital Nottingham. He has pioneered the
development of minimal access surgery in his speciality. He
was Clinical Director of the Obstetric and Gynaecology department
for 5 years and then the Head of Service for 18 months. He then
became the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at the Treatment Centre
where he helps to develop the skills of staff in order to help them
provide a great service to patients.

Krish Ragunath
Clinical Lead Endoscopy
Krish was appointed as Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at the
Nottingham NHS treatment centre in March 2010. He qualified in the
southern Indian city of Chennai (1986) and after completing
internal medicine training subsequently underwent higher specialist
training in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in the UK. He was
appointed as Senior lecturer in 1993 and now occupies the position
of Associate Professor and Reader in GI Endoscopy at the University
of Nottingham. He is also the Head of Endoscopy and Honorary
Consultant Gastroenterologist at Nottingham University Hospitals
Trust and sits on the British Society of Gastroenterology Endoscopy
Committee and Research Steering Group. With his extensive
experience in endoscopy training, teaching and high quality service
provision he leads the Endoscopy Gateway (Gateway H) working
closely with his excellent administration and management team
delivering high quality clinical care and patient experience.

Paul Sillandy
Finance Lead
Paul is a chartered accountant and qualified with PwC. During
his seven years there he reached manager level, working in the
audit, growing business & insolvency departments, prior to
joining Bass plc, latterly in a business purchased by Coors. During
his 13 years there, he undertook a wide range of roles, initially
in the central finance team, but for the most part in commercial
finance roles in the sales, marketing and export functions. Paul
has worked for Nations in Nottingham since February 2006, and is
responsible for Finance & Performance for the business.

Helen Tait
Senior Operations Manager
Helen has 8 years experience in Independent healthcare
management, formerly working in Business Development and
Operational roles at The Midlands NHS Treatment Centre and Spire
Leicester Hospital (formerly BUPA Hospitals). Helen began her
career working for a distribution subsidiary of WHSmith, spending 5
years in Marketing and Account Management roles in the News and
book trades. This was followed by 3½ years as a National Account
Manager for UniChem, working to develop the businesses of
independent Pharmacies and Pharmacy groups. Helen is
responsible for supporting the Clinical Unit Teams in the
Gynaecology, Diagnostic Imaging, Private Patients and Cardiology,
Vascular and Respiratory gateways.

John Ward
Clinical Lead Daycase
John is a Nottingham Medical Graduate and has been a Consultant
Anaesthetist since 1998. He has worked and trained in the UK,
New Zealand and Australia. His last overseas post was as a
department Clinical Director and he has worked at the Queens
Medical centre since 2000. Current clinical interests include
anaesthesia for Day Surgery, Vascular and Orthopaedic Surgery, as
well as use of regional techniques enabled by ultrasound.
Clinical safety is a top priority for John and as an Advanced
Life Support provider he supports the urgent response team in the
Treatment Centre. In 2005, John gained a Post-Graduate
Certificate in Public Service Management (with distinction) from
Nottingham Trent University Business School. As the Clinical
Lead for the Day Surgery Unit at Gateway G, John has worked hard
with the team on service improvement and they always aim to put
patient's priorities first. Regular audits and patient feedback is
always being used to enable staff to enhance patient care.
