Professional profile
Alex is the physiotherapy lead for CircleBath. She has a
graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Sports and
Exercise Medicine. She spent 2 years at University College
Hospital, London before travelling and working at the Royal North
Shore, Sydney.
She returned to London and worked for 2 years at St. Thomas's
Hospital where she started to specialise in musculoskeletal
physiotherapy. She also took on an extra role working in the Sports
injury clinic at the YMCA on Tottenham Court Road.
Alex moved to the South West in 1994 and worked for 6 years at
the Royal United Hospital where she was involved in the Sports
Injury clinic. It was at this time that she completed her Diploma
in Sports and Exercise Medicine at The London. She also had a part
time position at Bath Rugby which would span over 6 years taking in
the period of transition of the club from amateur to professional.
She then went on to work at the Bath Clinic where she also worked
as a Clinical Specialist in knees working alongside an Orthopaedic
Consultant.
Alex has also worked for 7 years at Bath University as a
lecturer and examiner on the MSc in Sports Medicine for
Doctors.
Personal profile
Alex has a love of sport and the outdoors. She spends much of
her spare time running, cycling, swimming and scuba diving.
