Personal Profile

Carin is a registered dietitian who completed her undergraduate dietetics degree at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, followed by obtaining a master’s degree in sports nutrition in 2000 from the University of Aberdeen. Carin started her dietetic career working in the NHS where she gained extensive experience working as a diabetes specialist dietitian for trusts in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. 

Carin has completed ongoing studies in the dietary management of gut disorders (including FODMAP diet training), eating disorders, as well as training in functional medicine with the Kresser Institute.  Carin works solely in private practice and consults with clients remotely and in-person in Reading, Great Missenden and London.  Her areas of expertise include gut health and digestive disorders, IBS, diabetes, PCOS, and fibromyalgia.  Carin also has a special interest in REDs and works with individuals who have a history of hypothalamic amenorrhea. 

Compassion and highly individualised care is at the heart of Carin’s approach to working with her patients.
