Professional profile
Claire is a Senior Physiotherapist and can assess and treat all
musculoskeletal conditions including chronic pain. She also has
specialist training in hand and burn rehabilitation.
Claire completed her training at Newcastle Acute NHS Trust and
had her first senior post in Hands, Burns, Plastic and Trauma
Orthopaedics. Claire then spent some time travelling around
Australia and working in New Zealand at Middlemore Hospital on the
National Burns Unit. On reutnring to the UK she specialised in
musculoskeletal rehabilitation and moved to London to work at St.
Mary's Hospital in the Outpatient team.
During her training Claire has developed a broad range of skills
in both exercise and manual therapy including manipulation,
acupuncture, CBT and hydrotherapy. She has obstetric skills in
managing antenatal and post natal musculoskeletal conditions such
as pubic symphysis dysfunction and SIJ pain and has trained in
cervicogenuc headaches, whiplash and BPPV management.
Claire in currently completing an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal
Physiotherapy.
Personal profile
Claire recently married a Royal Navy Engineer and is very much
looking forward to her up and coming honeymoon - diving in the Red
Sea! She has an extremely energetic Labrador with whom she goes on
several walks a day.
