Mr Martin is a senior Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
specialising in Cosmetic and Hand Surgery.
He trained in Medicine at Edinburgh University and subsequently
received his FRCS from Edinburgh. He was trained by Harold Kleinert
at Louisville Hand Surgery the mecca of hand surgery. His first
Consultant appointment was at Queen Mary's, Roehampton where he set
up the first Emergency Day Case Hand Trauma Unit. He later moved to
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he set up the Plastic and
Hand Unit.
As a Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon he manages skin cancers as
well as benign lesions on see and treat basis. Surgery at Circle
Clinic Windsor includes carpal tunnel and Dupytrens which is
carried out under local anaesthetic. With regard to cosmetic
surgery, particularly of the ageing face, he has a special interest
in fat grafting which is a technique of moving platform one area of
the body to another to improve contour, correct defects, or
enhanced features. This results in a very natural improved
appearance of facial features and compliments facelift and
blepharoplasty procedures.
