Professor Spiller qualified at Cambridge University and was an MRC Research Fellow at The Mayo Clinic.  He was appointed Consultant Physician at Nottingham University Hospital in 1988 and Professor of Gastroenterology in 2000.  He sees and treats NHS patients at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre.

Professor of Gastroenterology.  Head of The Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre and Lead Director of the NIHR Biomedical Research Unit
