Mrs Ruth Brown

Ruth really understood where and why I was getting pain and really worked hard at reducing the pain and making me more able. I'm extremely happy with the results and Ruth was brilliant.

Professional profile

Ruth is a senior Physiotherapist. Ruth qualified from Guy's Hospital in 1991 and remained in London working as a junior physiotherapist at Queen Marys Hospital Roehampton. It was here that she did all the rotations required of a junior physiotherapist particularly enjoying Out Patients, Womens Health and the Amputee Centre.

After enjoying a senior role in Out Patients/Community, Ruth moved to Wimbledon Parkside, a private hospital to take up a Senior job in Orthopaedics/Out Patients. It was here that Ruth became interested in Sports Injuries,  Acute Backpain and Womens Health. She ran the hydrotherapy sessions for the National Back Pain Association for 3 years in Richmond.

In 1996 Ruth moved to Cyprus to set up a small clinic for the ex pat community and army officers. With various other moves around the world Ruth has managed to work in all of the postings, always in the musculoskeletal/sports injuries field. Most recently Ruth worked in Frome before taking up the role at CircleBath.

In 2005 Ruth undertook an MSC in Manual Therapy which took her to Glasgow University on a monthly basis. This varied course has equipped Ruth with the essential knowledge of treating all manner of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal conditions.

Ruth has recently enjoyed setting up the Back Management Programme at CircleBath and hopes that this will grow alongside the Hydrotherapy programme that she is helping to coordinate.
