CircleReading is the second of our new-build hospitals, due to open to NHS and private patients in Autumn 2012.

Following in the footsteps of our first hospital, award-winning CircleBath, CircleReading will combine innovative design with excellent clinical care and hospitality.

Progress to date

 

Significant progress has been made to Reading construction, and we can really get a feel for how the finished product will look. This photo shows the external facade in December 2011.

 

Topping out ceremony

Milestone for construction

 

On July 21st 2011 we held a small ceremony to celebrate the topping out of CircleReading, where the last piece of roof was installed. Following this the internal construction plans began.

Laying the groundwork

 

On January 11th 2011 construction work began and we were visited by local MP Reading West MP Alok Sharm. After inspecting our plans Alok commented "I am delighted that the new hospital will create 200 new jobs in my constituency."

Designed by Bryden Wood Associates, CircleReading will follow in the style of award winning CircleBath to provide Reading with a hospital that exceeds patient experience. CircleReading will have 5 operating theatres, 30 in-patient beds and 20 day patient beds.
