Established in 1989, by eminent Hand Surgeon David Evans, the
Hand Clinic became part of the Circle family in 2008, and was
renamed as Circle Clinic Windsor in February 2011.
The Hand Clinic at Circle Clinic Windsor is a purpose built
surgical clinic dedicated to the management of all conditions of
the Hand and wrist. The clinic is self contained with X-ray,
operating theatre, consulting rooms, administration, as well as a
specialist Hand Therapy department all in the same building. Close
collaboration between the Hand Surgeons and the Therapists,
facilitates discussion and fine adjustment of treatment throughout
the period of care so our patients receive the best patient
experience and an excellent clinical result.
There are no inpatient beds, all surgery being conducted under
regional (local) anaesthesia.
Since its inception, the Clinic has attained a world-wide
reputation for the calibre of its Hand Surgery as well as the level
of teaching, with a steady output of research and publication. It
has hosted a succession of visiting Fellows, British and
International, who have benefitted from the expertise and teaching,
and have mostly gone on to establish their own Hand Surgery
practice around the world. David Evans and Donald Sammut, conduct
formal lecturing as well as an internationally recognized anatomy
dissection course which has been run since 1994, latterly conducted
at Guy's Hospital London.
Since it's rebranding to Circle the Hand surgery team is
expanding, and we will shortly increase our repertoire of
treatments on offer.
