Glaucoma Surgery

What is Glaucoma?

Glaucoma is the name to a group of  conditions which cause damage to the optic nerve which carries images from the retina to the brain, allowing you to see.  It affects one in fifty people over the age of 40 and can cause loss of vision.

Glaucoma can be caused by an increase in pressure in the eye caused by fluid build up where it does not drain out enough into the bloodstream.

Once the operation is completed your vision should show significant improvement.
