Your chest reduction operation

Your chosen consultant surgeon will make a neat cut under your arm or around your nipple, and then remove excess fat, tissue and skin before applying stitches. Even though the operation is performed under a general anaesthetic, there is a chance you will be allowed to go home the same day, although you may need to spend one night in hospital.

Recovery

You will notice some scarring after the operation, but the good news is that this will fade over time. We recommend you take a week off work to give your body time to make a full recovery, and you should try to avoid any kind of strenuous activity for the first fortnight.
