At The Women's Health Centre in Gateway F of the Nottingham
Treatment Centre, we provide a full range of specialty services for
the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of all benign
gynaecological disorders. The service is Consultant-led and
provides 8 general gynaecological clinics a week where disorders
such as prolapse, incontinence, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis,
ovarian cysts, vulval disease and pelvic pain are seen. There are
also more specialised clinics for menopausal complaints, a one stop
menstrual disorder service and colposcopy clinics for abnormal
smears. Nurse led family planning, hormone implant, bone
densitometry and urodynamic services also take place. A full
range of laboratory diagnostic tests are available to support
gynaecology including a pelvic ultrasound scanning facility for
every clinic. Should Daycase surgery be opted for,
pre-assessment can be done on the same day in the majority of
cases, with a date for the operation given there and then. There is
a 99.5% patient satisfaction with the service as determined by
feedback cards given out after every visit.. We are fully
aware that communication is important and we routinely provide
medical reports after each clinical consultations sending copies to
patients as well as their General Practitioner. Our extensive
team of Consultants includes both male and female Gynaecologists.
