Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nottingham Treatment
Centre
Oral and maxillofacial surgery provide a day case surgical
service at the Treatment Centre for the provision of Minor Oral
Surgery including Dental Extractions, Wisdom teeth and removal of
facial lumps and bumps under General anaesthesia or intravenous
sedation. Patients are primarily assessed at the Queens
Medical Centre maxillofacial unit in out-patients and subsequently
assessed for fitness for anaesthesia in the Treatment Centre.
This surgery is carried out by the consultant and staff grade
surgeons.
Private day case minor oral surgery and out-patient facilities
are also currently provided by Mr Sidebottom and Mr Rowson.
This also includes TMJ arthrocentesis/arthroscopy by Mr Sidebottom
in addition to the minor oral surgery provided by both
surgeons.
